Regarding the new wave of health tourism, and I say “new wave” even though this concept is certainly not new because if we remember the history of Greek and Egyptian peoples, and their eagerness to keep their bodies young and healthy, we find in them the concept of health tourism when they used to undertake their journeys to distant thermal springs for the benefit of their health.
Today, this concept adapted to the globalization provides us with a wide spectrum of business opportunities, many of these unfortunately unexplored or underestimated in our country, due to variables such as misinformation, low interest from the health sector, lack of cohesion between associations and specialists or delay in decision-making from the existing health clusters.
All these aspects ere minimal if we think of the quality, ethics, training and economy provided by health specialists in Colombia.
